St. Xavier University in Chicago has suspended a prominent history professor for calling U.S. Air Force Academy cadets baby killers. Peter Kirstein has been removed from teaching for a year for his angry response to a cadet's request for advice on how to promote an academic forum at the military school. The pacifist called the cadet a "disgrace to this country," adding "I am furious you would even think I would support you and your aggressive baby-killing tactics." Kirstein apologized, but only after his E-mail went worldwide on the Internet.
